Marko Stamenkovic of Subrogation and Recovery will be delivering this lecture at Lloyd's of London. Andrew Tobin of the Global Insurance Department will chair the event.
Marko explains the processes from notification of a fraud claim to how subrogation works in a fraud context i.e., how best make a recovery from an uninsured 3rd party and how to ensure that the insured and insurers’ position on recovery is best protected. With a varying attitude by police forces getting involved in what may be viewed as a civil matter, together with increased notifications of fraud, should the police be notified or, are insureds and insurers’ best interests served by keeping the matter in the civil courts? Marko will discuss some scenarios from recent cases he has encountered.
