J. Donald Tierney joined Cozen O’Connor’s New York office in September 2005 as Of Counsel, and is a member of the Marketing Group.
Don is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association. He earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University (B.Ch.E., 1957) and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law (LL.B., 1964), where he was a member of the Law Review. In addition, Don served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. Don has extensive experience in the Insurance industry having been employed by U.S. Aviation Underwriters, 1973 to 1980, where he was SVP and Director of Claims; and by American International Group, 1988 to 2005 where he was Manager of Litigation Management.
