Michael concentrates his practice on complex litigation and insurance defense. He has substantial experience in a variety of litigation matters, including catastrophic injury cases in addition to multi-party litigation in both state and federal courts. He has been lead counsel in a variety of additional civil matters including product liability actions, transportation litigation, construction litigation, and premises liability. Michael has tried numerous cases to verdict as lead counsel and is well-versed in every stage of trial from voir dire to final summations. Additionally, he has tried numerous bench trials in both the state and district courts of Texas.
With more than 13 years of experience, Michael is skilled in all aspects of litigation from managing discovery-heavy caseloads, to deposing expert witnesses on a variety of legal matters. Michael is well-experienced in handling mediation and arbitration hearings as well as obtaining summary judgment on his clients’ behalf and arguing other dispositive motions in venues across Texas and federal jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a complex-litigation associate with one of the largest personal injury law firms in Texas, where he negotiated and recovered significant sums for his clients. Prior to that, Michael began his legal career with a boutique litigation firm in Texas, where he was lead counsel for hundreds of active cases while managing six attorneys and ten staff members.
Michael earned his J.D., cum laude, from St. Mary's University School of Law and his B.A. from Texas State University.
