James’ practice includes a broad array of civil defense, including professional liability, general negligence, construction defect, and subrogation litigation at the state and appellate levels.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, James was a litigation associate with a civil litigation defense firm in Seattle. Prior to entering private practice, James served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable President Judge Paul M. Yatron of the Court of Common Pleas in Berks County, PA. After completing his clerkship, he served as an honors attorney and then an attorney adviser at the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review.
James earned his B.A., with honors and distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Penn State Journal of Law & International Affairs. During law school, James served as an extern to the Honorable Judge Kim R. Gibson of the U.S. District for the Western District of Pennsylvania and interned at the U.S. Department of Justice Environmental & Natural Resources Division.
