Josh concentrates his practice in construction law litigation, product liability, casualty defense, commercial litigation, and complex tort litigation. He has handled all types of litigation matters, including product liability cases, security and premises liability cases, dram shop cases, lead paint litigation, construction litigation, oil and gas litigation, and breach of contract claims.
Josh has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict, including major jury trials in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also handled cases in other jurisdictions including, but not limited to Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Washington. He also has tried numerous bench trials, administrative law hearings, and private and compulsory arbitration cases. In addition, he has mediated many matters in alternate dispute resolution forums. Josh has argued appeals in New Jersey appellate courts, Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Pennsylvania Superior Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
Josh co-chairs the Real Estate & Construction Industry Group of Cozen O'Connor. He also formerly served on the board of directors at Cozen O'Connor.
Josh is the past president of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel and a past committee member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Philadelphia Bar Association State Civil Committee. He is an active member of the Construction Law Society of America. Josh currently serves on the Board of Trustees, Mercy Career and Technical High School, Philadelphia, Pa. and the Board of Directors, The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia.
Josh attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1981, and earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1988.
