Emilie concentrates her practice on insurance coverage matters and has experience drafting detailed coverage opinions, pleadings, motions, and briefs. She also has experience researching and analyzing complex legal issues in first and third-party insurance coverage disputes, including commercial general liability, excess, automobile, homeowners, and bad faith.
Prior to joining the firm, Emilie served for six years as a Supreme Court Attorney with the California Supreme Court, where she edited Supreme Court and Court of Appeal opinions, conducted research, prepared memoranda, provided training to appellate attorneys and judicial assistants, and authored chapters of the California Style Manual.
Before that, she was an associate with a California-based firm concentrating on insurance coverage matters. There, Emilie gained experience drafting legal memoranda and motions regarding procedural and substantive issues in insurance coverage cases, preparing detailed analyses of insurance policies, and drafting reservation of rights letters.
Emilie earned her B.A. from New York University and her J.D. from Southwestern Law School.
