Nate focuses his practice on subrogation, litigation, general liability, and recovery.
Prior to joining the firm, Nate was corporate counsel for a real estate investment trust company across California and Washington. He facilitated their in-house subrogation department overhaul, including retention of outside counsel, in-house policies and procedures, and advice on hiring/management of claims adjusters. He advised a 1,500-employee real estate operations group on cross-portfolio legal risks. As the company's legal point of contact, he managed pre-litigation and litigation claims including issue spotting for liability concerns and tender opportunities, preparing and tracking litigation budgets, responding to discovery, attending mediations, designating person(s) most knowledgeable, tracking demands/offers, and reviewing settlements.
Prior to his corporate legal position, Nate served as an associate attorney for a San Francisco based law firm. There, he handled hundreds of subrogation/recovery cases and litigated transportation and cargo claims under federal and state statutes.
Nate earned his bachelor’s degree from New York University and his law degree from University of Oregon School of Law.
