Zachary Garippa knows a thing or two about issue-spotting and creative problem-solving. After putting his finance degree to use for a few years, Zach was ready for a new challenge and began a quest to identify ubiquitous areas of inefficiency in the world of business and to determine how technology and data could play a role in solving them. In time, Zach realized that business purchasing was an area ripe for innovative improvement, and he was off to the races.
In 2014, Zach and Tom Jaklitsch co-founded Order (formerly Negotiatus), a cloud-based spend management platform that allows companies to manage their ordering across all product vendors and product categories in one place. The two worked tirelessly to bring their vision to life, launching the product in 2015 and hiring their first employee in 2016.
They hired Cozen O’Connor in 2016 as well. “We had no experience to draw from,” Zach says. “Cozen O’Connor has been huge for us in everything across the board. Ira Gubernick has been there from the beginning as a strategic voice.”
At the start of 2019, Order was 200 clients and almost 50 employees strong. Dedicated to scaling with the needs of their clients, Zach and Tom grapple daily with the tapestry of challenges attendant to growing a business. Cozen O’Connor has met the company’s burgeoning needs every step of the way, going the extra mile to help bring Zach and Tom’s “big vision” into laser-sharp focus. “Being an entrepreneur is hard, but it makes it so much easier to have folks representing you that you can trust,” Zach says.
"Cozen O’Connor has been huge for us in everything across the board."
