Cozen O’Connor has named member Geoffrey D. Ferrer the Office Managing Partner of the New York Downtown and New York Midtown offices. “I am extremely pleased with the firm’s decision to appoint Geof to this office management position,” said Thomas A. Ferrer, who joined the firm in 2003, focuses his practice on U.S. and non-U.S. flag matters; all aspects of asset-based lending, including ship and aircraft finance; and equipment leasing. In addition, he represents clients in maritime lien and mortgage enforcement actions as well as in marine casualty and general commercial disputes.
Ferrer is a member of the American and International Bar Associations, as well as the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He is author of "Judicial Sales and Priority of Liens – United States," a chapter in the Maritime Law Handbook, originally published in 1994 and updated in 2006.
Ferrer is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.A., 1978) and Columbia University (J.D., 1981). He is admitted to practice in New York, California and New Jersey.
