Philadelphia, February 7, 2017— The Board of Directors of Cozen O’Connor unanimously re-elected Michael J. Heller to a third, three-year term as Chief Executive Officer of the firm, and added the title Executive Chairman effective immediately. Additionally, Managing Partner Vincent R. McGuinness will continue with his current role and also now serving as President; while, Elaine Rinaldi Bailey, Chair of Strategic Planning & Growth, will transition to Vice Chair of Cozen O’Connor. Martin T. Schrier, a member in the firm’s Miami office, will now serve as the firm’s Chief Strategy Partner.
Heller will begin this third term Jan. 1, 2019. The Board opted to re-elect Heller one year early as his present term will not expire until December 31, 2018. Since Heller took over as CEO on Jan. 1, 2013, Cozen O’Connor has experienced significant growth, including the opening of seven offices, increasing the firm by more than 130 attorneys, acquiring multiple subsidiary businesses, and materially increasing revenue and profit.
