New York – July 9, 2018 – Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies has announced that James L. Ansorge has joined its fast-growing Public Strategies group. A former government relations associate in the New York office of a large international law firm, Ansorge joins Cozen O’Connor’s midtown New York office as a government relations adviser within Public Strategies and as counsel within the law firm.
In his previous role, Ansorge secured numerous legislative and budgetary victories for a variety of clients. These clients included major trade associations, health care providers, private companies, and social service organizations. Prior to entering law and government relations, Ansorge served as the campaign finance director to Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, where he raised more than $3 million and was a top aide in a successful reelection bid. He also currently serves in volunteer leadership roles within the Democratic National Committee and several local civic organizations. In his new role, he will advise a variety of clients on broad-ranging issues including city and state legislation, budget advocacy, and policy development.

Ansorge earned his J.D. at Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. at Brandeis University.
