Cozen O'Connor Achieves Mansfield Certification for Fifth Year

PHILADELPHIA, October 4, 2024 — The Diversity Lab announced that Cozen O’Connor has achieved Mansfield Certification for the fifth consecutive year.

The Mansfield Rule Certification aims to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership roles. Cozen O’Connor is proud to be an Early Adopter firm, having originally signed on in 2019 and becoming certified in August 2020. By sharing outcomes of our firm's inclusive processes, Cozen O'Connor has also achieved the Mansfield Plus designation. There are now more than 360 firms participating in the certification process, marking a 13% increase from the previous year.

The Mansfield Rule is one of the winning ideas from the 2016 Women in Law Hackathon hosted by a collaboration between Diversity Lab, Bloomberg Law, and Stanford Law. Data analysis has shown these collective efforts have made an impact, with participating firms demonstrating increased diversity in management committees, client pitch teams, lateral partner hires, and equity partner promotions.
