Adam has experience conducting external investigations relating to sexual and gender-based harassment, violence, and child abuse at academic and other child-serving institutions. In addition to experience conducting investigations into historical allegations of abuse, Adam conducts investigations into sexual misconduct and protected class discrimination and harassment pursuant to Title IX and other state and federal laws and institutional policies. He also assists educational institutions in meeting their federal compliance obligations and responding to regulatory enforcement matters brought by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and Clery Compliance Division. Adam also maintains an active investigative practice in other areas of misconduct, navigating clients through government investigations relating to financial misconduct.
Adam previously served as an associate at an international law firm in New York, where he represented academic institutions, financial institutions, and other publicly traded companies in a broad range of high-profile investigations and criminal and regulatory enforcement matters. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University. Adam earned his law degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for outstanding academic achievement.
