TORONTO, October 23, 2023 — Any Obando Ospina, an associate in Cozen O'Connor’s Intellectual Property Department, recently passed the Trademarks Agent Exam in Canada. Any received the highest mark of this year’s testing pool.

The exam is designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge of the Trademarks Act and the Trademarks Regulations. The exam test candidates’ analytical and problem-solving skills and their skills in communicating with clients and the Office of the Registrar of Trademarks. Candidates must complete the written exam and pass with at least 65%. Upon completion of the requirements, which include the 24-month training period, the agent training course, and the qualifying examinations, an agent in training may apply to be a trademark agent.
