Melissa concentrates her practice on insurance matters, including defending property, homeowners, automobile, and bad faith claims. Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Melissa was an associate with a civil litigation firm headquartered in San Diego, where she gained experience in trial preparation, motions practice, discovery, depositions, and pre-trial settlement negotiation. She also assists clients by drafting coverage analysis memoranda.
Melissa earned her joint B.S. in criminal justice/B.A. in Spanish from San Diego State University and her J.D. from California Western School of Law. She is a fluent Spanish speaker.
