Alexis Okonkwo

Associate

Alexis concentrates her practice on complex insurance litigation. She has a strong background in drafting pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs, as well as preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trials, hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.

Previously, Alexis worked as an associate at a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, focusing on general liability insurance, and in the Defense Base Act practice group of a national litigation firm headquartered in Houston. She also served as an unemployment insurance referee with North Dakota Unemployment Insurance.

Alexis graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she was the senior editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. She earned her B.A. from Sam Houston State University.
