Saskia Olczak

Associate

Saskia concentrates her practice on complex insurance coverage litigation. She counsels clients on first-party property and third-party liability claims and handles matters involving high potential exposure and allegations of bad faith. She has experience representing insurers in declaratory judgment actions, actions to rescind insurance policies, breach of contract claims, actions seeking extracontractual damages, and actions between insurers to resolve allocation and relative priority issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Saskia was an associate attorney in the coverage and insurance defense practice groups with a mid-sized civil and commercial litigation law firm in Atlanta. Before that, she worked in-house with a professional health care liability insurance provider, advising health care companies and physician policyholders of regulatory changes while providing solutions for reducing risk and controlling costs.

Saskia earned her B.S. in health promotion from the University of Georgia. She received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Georgia State University’s College of Law, where she was an associate editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. During her 2L year, she served as a judicial extern for Judge Michael L. Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Saskia is a member of the Order of the Coif and was awarded the GSU Center for Law, Health, and Society’s Charity Scott Health Law Award. While in law school, she earned her M.S. in health administration, also summa cum laude, from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
