Vivien Krieger will participate in an Urban Land Institute Technical Assistance Panel in collaboration with NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate and the Waterfront Alliance. In a mayoral election year when big infrastructure investments are being considered at local and federal levels, big ideas are needed. The one-day study will bring together a panel of design, finance, and legal professionals to discuss a few such big ideas around the future of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt East River Drive (FDR Drive), a six-lane parkway and product of the Robert Moses era, spanning the east side of Manhattan across a nearly 10-mile stretch of waterfront. Following the study, the panel will compile their findings into a one-pager with graphics to present to the mayoral candidates to guide conversations about the future of the FDR Drive as well as using the findings to form the basis of a full TAP later in the year.
