Deborah Winokur will speak on the panel, “A Living, Breathing First Amendment?” at the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL) Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. The panel will discuss how the First Amendment has arisen in new – and some familiar – contexts, including as a result of the 2020 election litigation. The panel will address the continuing debate around Rule 8.4(g) and its adoption (or lack thereof) in the states, and in disciplinary and other lawyer liability matters.
