Janice Agresti, John Ho, and Michael Schmidt will speak at the ACC New York City's Strategies for In-House Counsel: Everything You Need to Know as an Employer and an Employee. The source of labor and employment law has changed over the years from primarily the federal government to an increasingly complex patchwork of state and local initiatives. The need to stay abreast of developments and trends around the country is particularly challenging to multi-jurisdictional employers, as well as those who continue to have a sizeable workforce working remotely in different jurisdictions. This session will discuss the major labor and employment issues that are being addressed in different, sometimes inconsistent, ways around the country, and best practices for employers to comply with regulations being passed on all levels of government.
