Alycen A. Moss and Elliot Kerzner will speak on the panel “Words Matter: Interpreting "Occurrence" in Liability Policies” at the CLM’s 2023 Focus Conference & Holiday Party in New York, New York.
The panel will clarify when courts have allowed insurers to deny coverage on the basis of intentional conduct and when they have found that the resulting injuries are "accidental" even when they result from excluded intentional conduct. The panelists will focus on when bodily injury or property damage caused by an intentional act can be an "accident" for purposes of triggering coverage under a liability insurance policy.
Alycen and Elliot will speak alongside Linda King and William Wingertzahn of Sompo International Insurance.
