Philadelphia, June 10, 2020 — The Corporate Practice at Cozen O’Connor represented Utz Quality Foods, the largest family owned branded salty snack company in the United States, in its entering into a business combination agreement with Collier Creek Holdings (NYSE: CCH, CCH.U, CCH WS), a special purpose acquisition company. As a result of the transaction, Utz will become a public company under the name Utz Brands, Inc. The transaction values Utz at approximately $1.56 billion and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020, subject to the fulfillment of regulatory and customary closing conditions.

Collier Creek is a special purpose acquisition company that completed its initial public offering in October 2018. Collier Creek was formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization, or similar business combination with one or more businesses.
