PHILADELPHIA, July 1, 2020 --- Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Leigh Ann Benson, associate of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, has been selected to the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Bar Leadership Institute (BLI) 2020-2021 class. To apply for the BLI, candidates had to demonstrate leadership ability, commit to attendance and participation in the required events, be currently licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, be a PBA member, and be 40 years or younger or have practiced five years or less. BLI participants will learn about the day-to-day operations, governance, resources and staffing of the association and will be introduced to the various leadership opportunities within the PBA.
Leigh Ann focuses her practice on commercial litigation. She has experience representing clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing (food and beverage), entertainment and gaming, pharmaceutical, among others. Her experience includes complex commercial cases, commercial contract disputes, and business torts. She has experience handling both individual and class action litigation. In 2018, Leigh Ann co-founded the Large Firm Associate Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Large Firm Management Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Leigh Ann also holds positions on two editorial boards. She is an associate editor for TYL, the flagship publication for the Young Lawyer Division of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Young Lawyer Editorial Board of The Legal Intelligencer.
