NEW YORK, March 16, 2021 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Anupama Prasad, an associate in the firm’s Global Insurance Department, has been named to the National Association of Women’s Lawyers (NAWL) Rising List. The NAWL Rising List is made up of individuals advancing in their careers, helping others advance in their careers, and/or fighting to advance women under the law. NAWL’s mission is to provide leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocate for the equality of women under the law. Prasad’s practice is focused on complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling, as well as insurance defense litigation. She represents domestic and international insurers in coverage matters involving commercial general liability, Bermuda form excess liability, employment practices liability, professional liability, and homeowners insurance policies.  Her work includes coverage disputes involving bodily injury, personal injury, property damage, environmental contamination, toxic tort, and bad faith claims. In both insurance coverage and insurance defense matters, Prasad has managed disputes through all phases of pre-trial litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing and arguing procedural and substantive motions, conducting written discovery, and taking depositions. Prasad also evaluates policy language and advises clients on coverage obligations, particularly in connection with issues such as late notice and the availability of additional insured coverage.
