Jennifer Taylor was highlighted in the Daily Business Review about how she has devoted her career to building the confidence of young lawyers. Throughout Jennifer's 20 years in Big Law, peers say they’ve looked to her as a sounding board and guide, as she’s been known to say: “If you want an answer without the sugarcoating, call me. Otherwise, better call someone else.” Jennifer says openness is what makes good mentoring. “We get into everything,” she said. “And it goes both ways. I’m not up on a throne pontificating. I learn as much from them as they do from me.”
One mentee, Jennifer Queliz, said she “sees the person in front of her.” “What works for me isn’t going to work for everyone else,” Jennifer said. “She knows when to be soft and when to give me that swift kick. She knows when to let me be and when to step in.”
