NEW YORK, June 14, 2021 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Katie Schwab, managing director of the firm’s Public Strategies Group, has been named a board member of the Downtown Lower Manhattan Association (DLMA). DLMA is a nonprofit association of individual and organizational members consisting mainly of prominent business leaders in the Lower Manhattan community. The DLMA serves as a vehicle for Lower Manhattan’s business and institutional leaders to interact, develop common goals and objectives, and to work in concert with the public and with representatives at every level of local, state, and federal government to facilitate implementation of its plans and long-term vision.
Schwab provides strategic advice and analysis to nonprofit organizations, trade associations, and corporations that are engaged in New York City’s complex regulatory, legislative, and procurement systems. She also counsels her clients in the development and implementation of effective public and community outreach strategies. Schwab’s professional experience as a government official, nonprofit executive, and government contractor give her a unique insight into the role and responsibilities of an advocate.
