MIAMI, April 1, 2021 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Susan Eisenberg and Jennifer Taylor, members of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department, have been selected as honorees for the Daily Business Review’s Florida Legal Awards. Eisenberg, who is also the managing partner of the firm’s Miami office, was named a “Distinguished Leader,” which recognizes attorneys in leadership roles who achieved impressive results in the past year. Taylor was selected as a “Best Mentor,” an award honoring those most senior attorneys who have taken it upon themselves to prepare the next generation of legal talent. The Florida Legal Awards recognize attorney achievements across the Florida legal community in numerous categories including Lifetime Achievement, General Counsel Impact, On the Rise, and Innovators.
Eisenberg has more than 25 years of experience representing employers in all aspects of employment matters and is widely recognized as one of the leading employment law attorneys in Florida. She also litigates non-compete and confidentiality issues as well as accessibility issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act. She regularly handles single plaintiff as well as class-action litigation. Eisenberg is also widely known for her experience with wage and hour issues and is one of the authors of the premiere treatise titled The Fair Labor Standards Act.
Taylor has focused exclusively on representing management in all facets of labor and employment law for more than 20 years. She represents employers in labor and employment litigation before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor. Taylor also regularly litigates disputes involving employment contracts, as well as non-compete and confidentiality agreements.
