Susan Stauss was quoted in an article published by The Sun News, which discusses structured settlements in South Carolina and if factoring companies operating in the state are following the rules. “State protection acts are designed to put the onus on judges to gather information and make an educated ruling,” said Susan. “If (judges) are going to rubber stamp (these deals), sure, every factoring company is going to find a way to get in front of that judge.”
