DALLAS, July 26, 2022 — Texas Lawyer honored Alicia Curran and Aaron Holt in its 2022 Texas Legal Awards. Curran, awarded a Best Mentor designation, is widely recognized as one of the best and most dedicated mentors in firm’s 100-lawyer Insurance Department. What differentiates her, first and foremost, is her willingness to put in the time. Her teaching regularly involves both one-on-one mentoring and department-wide training sessions. Few attorneys of comparable seniority and workload make themselves as available to associates and other attorneys as Curran. “I’ll teach anybody anything I know, and I’ll show them how to do it the right way. Once you have demonstrated that you are here to do the work, my door is open.”

Holt is recognized as a lawyer On The Rise. Holt advises major corporate clients and Fortune 100 companies on critical workforce issues and employment disputes. In an era of ever-increasing specialization, Holt has purposefully honed a range of capabilities and built a comprehensive practice. On the employment litigation side, Holt defends corporate clients in single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits in state and federal courts across the country against allegations ranging from misclassification and unpaid overtime to employment discrimination and retaliation. He also handles investigations brought by state and federal administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The awards will be presented at a reception in Dallas on September 14.
