Philadelphia, March 1, 2024 — Cozen O’Connor advised the Philadelphia Union, a professional soccer club that competes in Major League Soccer, in a multi-year partnership with Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center.
Under the partnership, Penn Medicine will provide the team’s doctors, as well as serve as the Official Health Care Provider and Hospital System of the Philadelphia Union, Union II, Union Academy, and the WSFS Bank Sportsplex.
As part of the partnership, the Union will collaborate with Penn Medicine on several initiatives to support the community of Chester, including a Community Refrigerator program to help battle food insecurity.
Dave Franklin, a member of the firm’s Sports Law Industry practice, and Hayes Hunt, chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Sports Law Industry team, represented the Union in the agreement.
