HARRISBURG, May 1, 2024 – David P. Zambito, chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Utility & Energy Group, has been named to the Central Penn Business Journal 2024 Power List for Law. This list recognizes those who shape the communities of Central Pennsylvania and improve quality of life through their legal work.
Zambito focuses his work on regulatory, commercial, and development issues involving utilities, having dedicated his career to defending private enterprise against governmental overreach. In the past year he has had multiple notable successes as he continues to focus on the acquisition of municipal water and wastewater systems by large investor-owned utility companies due to the municipalities’ inability to operate systems in the public interest.
Zambito is the office managing partner of Cozen O’Connor’s Harrisburg office and has served on the firm’s Management Committee, Shareholder Nominating Committee, and Marketing Committee. He actively participates as a faculty planner for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Public Utility Law Conference. He previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and as counsel to the former chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, Glen R. Thomas.
