Jerry Goldfeder was quoted in a New York Law Journal article discussing the lawsuits in New York trial courts challenging a recent law that will change town and county elections to coincide with federal and state elective offices. “The goal is to make it easier for voters and increase turnout, and I think that’s a worthwhile goal,” said Jerry. He added that the opposition reminded him of “an effort, many years ago when Republicans in the state made certain that New York City elections occurred on a different timetable than state elections so that the Democratic vote in the city would not have as much of an impact on state elections.”
