He also shared advice for aspiring legal professionals. “Law schools are not really designed to expose students to the real life of practicing attorneys, the differences between firms, the differences between practice areas, how to run a business, etc.,” said Jason. “The only way to obtain that information and to be able to make informed decisions on where you want your career to go is to be proactive and get exposure. That could be anything from clerkships, summer associate programs, volunteering, asking for different types or work within a firm, etc.”
