Elliot Kerzner, a member in the firm’s Global Insurance Department, has been appointed Director of Education of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM). In this role, Elliot will be responsible for planning and delivering educational events for chapter members. He will collaborate with the Director of Events and chapter leadership and work to set the direction of the Chapter’s continued success by overseeing the educational components of local events. Elliot previously served as Secretary of the CLM's Greater Atlanta Chapter. The CLM is a national organization established to meet the needs of professionals in claims and litigation management. Since 2007, it has provided over 50,000 professionals with opportunities to expand their knowledge, build their personal brand, and advance their careers through continuing education programs, networking events, industry resources, and designations.
Elliot regularly advises and represents clients in a broad range of insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters, including commercial general liability, property damage, personal injury, and environmental claims. He assists clients in evaluating the legal and factual issues in first-party and third-party insurance coverage disputes, including interpretation of policy provisions, and he also defends clients in complex litigation arising in both federal and state courts. Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Elliot handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including representing domestic and international insurers in coverage disputes and construction defect claims and defending insureds against personal injury and property damage claims.
