Bill Davis discusses the deal competition confronting real estate funds in the months ahead as private real estate fund strategies turn to distressed assets in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and economic downturn. Transaction activity is slowly starting to pick up, however caution remains as does a level of confusion over how to price assets.
According to Bill, given the limited number of transactions currently happening, deals are going to be competitive. "There are a lot of funds that are sitting on dry powder that have a need to deploy capital and a responsibility to deploy capital,” Bill continued.
