Matthew Catron

Associate

Matt regularly represents corporate and individual clients in complex business disputes, including cases involving corporate governance, M&A transactions, fiduciary duties, shareholder demands, alternative entities, and breach of contract. He has handled high-risk disputes in state and federal court and before the American Arbitration Association.

Matt also has experience in matters with substantial issues of insolvency. He represents clients seeking court-appointed receivers and advises on unique issues arising out of bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rebecca Jennings of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Kentucky. Before that, he was an associate at a prominent law firm in Wilmington, Delaware.

Matt earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from William & Mary Law School, where he was the lead notes editor for the William & Mary Law Review. Throughout law school, Matt concentrated his coursework on business law. He gained valuable experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Lawrence Leonard of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, and as a law clerk to the United States Election Assistance Commission.
