With over fifteen years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Ashley has built strong relationships with key state and local stakeholders and has a deep understanding of the legislative process. She has a proven track record of successfully navigating complex issues and securing favorable outcomes for her constituents and clients.
Most recently, Ashley served as Managing Director of Lobbying at a New York urban strategy and government relations firm, where she oversaw the firm's political and legislative relationships, managed a team of lobbyists, and developed strategic outreach plans to advance clients' goals. In this role, she helped to secure tens of millions of dollars in public funding for youth and cultural programs, developed legislative reforms to improve curbside delivery, secured approvals for major real estate developments, and advised community organizations on infrastructure improvements.
Before entering the private sector, she served as a legislative representative for Mayor Bill de Blasio, as Chief of Staff for Council Member Stephen Levin (Brooklyn), and as a legislative aide for Council Member Melinda Katz (Queens). In these roles, she worked to resolve land-use issues, coordinated budget allocations, liaised with government agencies, and oversaw constituent communications.
Ashley earned her bachelor's degree in political communications from Emerson College. She currently serves on the board of Photoville, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to photography through public art exhibitions and educational programming.
