Kyle concentrates his civil litigation practice on prosecuting subrogated claims. He has experience litigating complex property loss claims in the areas of construction negligence, municipal liability, product liability, fire losses, floods, transportation losses, and employee fraud claims.
Most recently, Kyle was subrogation legal counsel at an international property and casualty insurance company, where he also completed his articles. In this role, he recovered millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients and was responsible for handling all aspects of subrogated claims. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Small Claims Court, and has represented clients at motions, examinations for discovery, mediations, judgment enforcement proceedings, and Small Claims Court trials.
Kyle obtained his degrees in kinesiology (B.A., with honors) and law (J.D.) from Western University. While in law school, Kyle participated in numerous moot court competitions and completed an internship at Pro Bono Ontario. In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his wife, cooking, and playing golf. He is conversant in German.
