Morgan is a seasoned attorney concentrating on institutional response, compliance, and governance matters. With a decade of experience working in large universities across California and Texas, she brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of educational institutions and athletic departments.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Morgan began her career in intercollegiate athletics compliance, interning with the Gonzaga athletic department, the West Coast Conference's Governance and Administration team, and Conference USA's Compliance and Sports Services team while in law school. She then joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 as an assistant coordinator of athletics risk management and compliance services. In 2015, she joined the University of Southern California (USC) as an assistant director, later becoming director of athletic compliance in 2017, where she supported Trojan sport programs in complying with NCAA and conference rules. In 2019, Morgan transitioned to a broader campus role at USC as the associate director within the Office of Professionalism and Ethics. There, she oversaw university employment reviews and personnel investigations, conducted and managed complex investigations on highly confidential and sensitive matters, and developed processes to improve efficiency and transparency. Most recently, Morgan was an associate with a boutique law firm in Los Angeles, where she represented national and local developers in public and private transactional commercial real estate matters.
Morgan holds a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law and a B.A. in political science from Santa Clara University. Also, during her law school career, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Daniel Buckley of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
