Dave represents employers across the country, providing pragmatic, reasoned, and collaborative strategies to address all manner of workplace disputes. Supporting employers across multiple industries – and with especially extensive experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, and consumer services – Dave pairs aggressive representation with immediately responsive service.
Within his employment practice, Dave represents employers in litigation under Title VII, as well as the ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA. He has deep experience before multiple administrative agencies, including OSHA, the EEOC, and the NLRB. Applying his expansive litigation experience to day-to-day employment matters, Dave frequently counsels clients on workplace best practices and partners with employers to structure reductions in force and similar job actions to minimize both WARN implications and litigation risk.
Additionally, Dave assists employers in responding to union organizing campaigns and develops effective training and communication strategies during periods of heightened organizing activity. He regularly supports his clients in proceedings before the NLRB and is experienced in both negotiating and administering labor contracts throughout the United States.
Dave is especially eager to protect clients' trade secrets and intellectual property. Litigating matters under the Defend Trade Secrets Act and state-specific intellectual property statutes, Dave takes swift and decisive action to protect client's property and, when necessary, enforce restrictive covenants, such as non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.
Dave also maintains an active commercial litigation practice, applying the same aggressive, engaged service to high-stakes business disputes. Leveraging a thorough understanding of his clients' businesses, thorough preparation, and robust client communication, Dave works with businesses to achieve exceptional results.
Previously, Dave was a partner in the labor and employment group at an international law firm. He earned his bachelor's degree from Allegheny College and his JD from Duquesne University School of Law.
