John Holub

Senior Principal, Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies

John brings more than two decades of experience in issue advocacy and campaign management to his work, advising and advocating on behalf of retail, pharmacy, chain restaurants, franchises, and cannabis industry clients. For the past 18 years, he has served as president and CEO of the New Jersey Retail Merchant Association and executive director of the New Jersey Council of Chain Drug Stores, representing close to 4,000 store locations as the chief lobbyist for the retail industry association. John also serves as president of the Pennsylvania Retailers’ Association.

Prior to joining the firm, John was an associate with a New Jersey-based firm specializing in government relations, public affairs, and association management. Before that, he served as the New Jersey state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, representing 11,000 members. John earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Syracuse University.
