Abigail represents international and domestic insurers in complex insurance coverage matters, arbitration and litigation involving directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, professional liability and commercial general liability claims. Abigail handles coverage litigation in state and federal courts across the country. She also represents commercial entities in arbitration and litigation in state and federal court in professional liability and general liability actions.
Abigail also has experience handling matters involving motor carrier liability policies, including the application of MCS-90 endorsements in claims involving the transport of goods and services in interstate commerce. She has handled litigation involving premises liability and bodily injury claims concerning active worksites, construction injuries, and contractor disputes.
Abigail began her legal career as a coverage associate with an Am Law 100 firm well-known for its strength in insurance litigation. She earned her B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Abigail also obtained a Certificate of Criminal Law. While participating in her law school's Criminal Appeals Legal Clinic, she successfully overturned her client’s conviction in a published decision from the First District. Abigail's familiarity with criminal procedure helps her to advise insurers in connection with claims involving simultaneous criminal and civil investigations.
