Maleika is an attorney who focuses her practice on corporate and securities matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Maleika gained valuable experience as an articling student and associate at a Vancouver-based corporate and securities boutique, where she led corporate finance and M&A transactions valued at up to $70 million. She focused on venture clients in various industries, including mining, health sciences, technology, and consumer goods. She also advised clients on corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance, executive compensation, employment/consulting agreements, loan and services agreements, and regulatory compliance.
Maleika earned her J.D. in 2020 from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. During her time there, Maleika was the General Secretary and 3L representative of the University of Victoria Law Students' Society and Vice-President of the First Generation Network. She also spent semesters abroad at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and working as a co-op student at an international law firm in Bangkok. Maleika received her B.A. from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2016.
Maleika is fluent in French and enjoys visual arts, traveling, and skiing in her free time.
