Illinois Insights: An update from Cozen O'Connor (1/15)

“Illinois doubled private investments in the state, as well as investments in clean energy, and quadrupled the number of retained jobs in 2024, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity said this week. Private investments in the state increased from $6.3 billion in 2023 to $12.5 billion in 2024, and investments in clean energy jumped from $2 billion to $4 billion,” by the Chicago Business Journal.

Gabby represents a diverse range of clients before the Illinois Governor's Office, state agencies, and both chambers of the General Assembly to meet their legislative and regulatory objectives. Prior to joining Public Strategies, Gabby worked in both the public and private sector, most recently as a legislative analyst for an early childhood education agency, where she partnered with other advocates and state agencies to improve access and the quality of early childhood education. Previously, Gabby worked as a staffer for the Illinois House Speaker in the Office of Research and Appropriations Unit, where she analyzed bills and state agency budgets, and staffed committees.

Gabby earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University.
