Mike concentrates his practice on construction litigation and transactions for various domestic and international clients, including general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project owners. In addition to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts, Mike assists his clients in identifying and reducing risk, participating in alternative dispute resolution, and, when avoiding litigation is not possible, representing his clients as first chair in state and federal courts. In addition to appearing before state and federal courts, Mike regularly represents clients before the American Arbitration Association, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, and the International Chamber of Commerce.

Mike brings over a decade of experience in resolving construction disputes involving public infrastructure, industrial plants, highways, multifamily homes, retail centers, hotels, and office projects. He has successfully pursued and defended against payment disputes, design defects, mechanic's liens, performance and payment bonds, undisclosed and differing site conditions, breach of contract, delay claims, owner inference, and contract termination.

Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Mike was a partner in the Houston, Texas, office of a midsized law firm, where he concentrated on construction litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.A. from Texas State University.
