Alexander is part of the firm’s global insurance department. He has experience handling all aspects of high-exposure, complex litigation, and appellate practice in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting depositions and oral arguments, and advising clients in areas of risk management, statutory compliance, and insurance coverage determinations. He has analyzed construction management agreements associated with litigation arising out of private and New York municipal building projects and collaborated with professional engineering and medical experts in fields of accident reconstruction, statutory and regulatory code compliance, and job site and product safety to avoid liability and mitigate damages of construction, trucking, and insurance industry clients and product manufacturers. Alexander also has experience defending products liability claims on behalf of device manufacturers and will assist with life sciences and medical device defense litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Alexander was a litigation associate in New York and Atlanta. He gained experience representing commercial, trucking, and construction-industry clients in all phases of litigation. Alexander started his legal career as an assistant district attorney at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where he managed a criminal docket in excess of 3,000 active cases, prosecuting criminal offenses from arraignment through disposition or trial.
Alexander earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law.
