Meir concentrates his practice on fiduciary litigation, drawing on his broad litigation experience in both Florida and New York to help clients navigate these matters, and also handles estate and trust planning and administration.
Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Meir was an associate in the financial services practice group of a national full-service firm, where he counseled clients throughout Florida and New York on residential and commercial mortgage foreclosure, loan workouts, loss mitigation, and REO title insurance and closings. He also advised companies on federal collections acts, state fair lending practices, and handling procedures to ensure compliance. Before that, he gained experience in consumer protection law, including federal claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Consumer Credit Fairness Act, and more. Before that, Meir represented clients in employment discrimination matters, including wrongful termination, workplace retaliation, and sexual harassment.
Meir earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. During law school, he worked for the Queens District Attorney Prosecution Clinic and the Bronx County Civil Court Mediation Clinic. He also holds a B.A., summa cum laude, from Touro University.
