The Scholarship
At Cozen O’Connor, we understand the value of a diverse work environment and believe that such diversity adds to our firm’s successes and ability to provide better service to our clients. We seek to employ lawyers of diverse backgrounds, and also those committed to the furtherance of a more diverse and inclusive profession. Our 1L diversity fellowship is open to law school students in their first year of law school with a demonstrated commitment to building diversity and inclusion. We view diversity broadly. This means we consider candidates with a variety of diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to, individuals who are neurodiverse and/or otherwise differently abled, and those with diverse backgrounds based on race, gender, age, religion, national origin, veteran status, LGBTQ+ status, etc. We also consider candidates’ socio-economic status and/or other experiences, such as being a first-generation higher education student, that bring diversity and inclusion to our firm, as well as candidates who may not have a diverse background themselves but have shown a commitment to building diversity and inclusion.
