Thomas Casparian and Susy Forbath will present "Adding Spaces to Mobile Home Parks" at the Manufactured Housing Educational Trust's Park Owner Forum. The session will explore the benefits and pitfalls of the new legislation, AB 2387, which exempts new lot construction of up to 10% of the existing number of spaces in a park from business taxes, registration fees, use permit fees, or other fees, except those that apply to the existing lots in the park. The bill also exempts new lots from the California Environmental Quality Act and prohibits the enforcement agency, city, or county from requiring a conditional use permit, variance, or zoning approval in order to add spaces.
