CHICAGO, November 21, 2023 — Elizabeth Olivera, an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Department, has been elected secretary of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA). She will serve a one-year term from 2023-2024. The NFALA is a professional network of attorneys, judges, law students, and supporters that advocate for justice, civil rights, and equal opportunities for the Filipino American community. The organization also strives to increase diverse representation in the judiciary, provide business opportunities, and enhance career development for its members.
Elizabeth's practice focuses on employment-based immigration for institutional clients and multinational corporations. She works with clients from a wide variety of industries, including technology, engineering, manufacturing, and utilities. Elizabeth assists clients in acquiring employment-based visas for key employees so they will be authorized for employment in the United States.
